enigma of the horizon

Text

Today I went for a scooter-venture.  The sky was an amazing clear blue and the air was sharp and crisp.  I feel like “crisp” is used too commonly for the air during the fall…so ill just change that and say it was borderline cold.  My fingers got cold and by the end of my journey, the batteries in my camera were saying they were done because they were too cold.  The sun was nice though.  I saw a lot of people walking their dogs and in the beach parking lot there were multiple people sitting in their cars.  I just scootered on by and straight towards the amazing colors.  I dont know how to accurately describe the colors of the trees…some were dull and some were empty of leaves but there were quite a few simply gorgeous ones.  The colors were so vibrant and full of energy.  Even the grass on the hill had a sort of excitement in it.  Like it was getting ready for a fun event.  Probably winter…or maybe a party.. Anyways, I just sat down in the grass, watched the movement of the wind and took pictures.  In the beach sand, there were places where it was covered with tracks from ducks and geese. It was cool to look at those tracks and imagine all the birds running around and living their lives.  I love the freedom of a human powered scooter. Not those fancy shmancy electric motor things.  I can take it wherever I want and stop whenever I want.  Coming down the hill by the playground, towards the beach, I let gravity take me.  The rumbling from the flattened tire on the back of my cruiser was almost deafening, but it was exhilarating to fly down with the wind in my ears and a smile on my face…
